Alaska Aviation History
Why Choose the Alaska Aviation History Tour?
This tour is an outstanding option for first time or inexperienced riders, and also perfect for those interested in aviation and its historic role in Alaska. The tour takes riders around the world’s busiest floatplane base with more than 87,000 takeoffs and landings per year. The route is flat and the only obstacles may be the planes taxiing around you! You’ll stop at the Alaska Aviation Museum, seeing historic aircraft and hearing stories that contributed to the development of Alaska.
This guided tour on a Segway PT includes free tickets to the museum and begins at Lake Hood, conveniently located adjacent to Ted Steven’s International Airport. It is about 1.5 hours in length.
